With the league releasing the fixtures last week, both YM teams know their fate for the opening week of the season which kick off on Wednesday the 1st Sept for the first team and Saturday the 4th Sept for thr Rapids.

Champions YM start off with a tricky home match against a Theale side who have always put up a stern test and took points of YM in last years run in. As is now customary, the season kicks off on a Wednesday for Senior and Premier sides in order to make a quick start on the fixture list which means YM's first Saturday game is against Highmoor Ibis who were YM's main rivals in the race for the Senior division.

The Rapids kick off life in division 1 against AFC Corinthians, a side they encounted in pre season resulting in a 3-1 loss, though the regular season, especially the first day, will proove a very different game of football. The Rapids are looking for an unprecidented 4th promotion in a row which would result in both YM sides in the top 2 divisions for the first time in the clubs history. A long tough season lies ahead before that dream may be realised.

YM first team then take on a revamped Frilsham and Yattendon side on Wednesday the 8th to cunclude the midweek games. This season may see a different side due to a large merry-go-round of players and back room staff at the club so YM may face an unknown quantity from the villagers.
