Sidders Take on YM's Second String
Sidders

Reading YMCA FC are pleased to announce Tim Sidwell has taken over the Rapids as player manager after the departure of Paul O Boyle due to personal reasons. 'Boiler' started the side in 2007 and guided his side to 3 consecutive promotions to leave them in division 1 and with a great chance to climb as high as possible behind the first team. The club would like to thank Boiler for a fantastic contribution and look forward to seeing him at Rapids matches with 'Boiler Junior' ready to learn the trade!

Sidders has been at the club for 8 years making his debut in 2002 scoring over 60 goals from central midfield. The former Thatcham Town player has played for YM's second string for 2 seasons and was chosen as an internal replacement, following YM's tradition of appointing from within. He will be aided by YM hall of famer Carl Tipper as assistant and the return of the YM centre half will no doubt be a boost to YM's young guns as they bid to step up for a 3rd time.

The Rapids will also have a new sponsor for the coming season after negotiating a deal with The Volunteer in Theale. The local village pub will provide a new kit and drinking arena for post game analysis. Thanks to Alan O Brian for providing the funds.
