Promotion hopefuls Wrightchoice and Reading YMCA Rapids met on a warm Wednesday evening but in an keenly contested game nither side could break the deadlock.

The Rapids dominated possession in the 1st half although Wrightchoice were dangerous on the counterattack.

Jamie Froude was the outstanding player for the Rapids and his superb shot was tipped on to the bar in the 1st half.  At the other end keeper Rob Taylor also reacted well to keep out a low shot at his near post.

The 2nd half was more even but both sides had experienced, well organised defences and chances were at a premium.  Rapids top scorer had a goal disallowed for offside whilst Wrightchoice went close from a couple of set pieces but it was a fair result and should ensure that both sides achieve their promotion goal this season.
