The Reading league fixtures have been released and have thrown up a decent start of both teams. There are no easy fixtures in any division but the 1st Team will be happy with 3 opening games against teams who have struggled in recent seasons. They open up against a Royal Mail side boosted by the return of Chris Ward as manager, take on a struggling Forest side in the week and then make the return trip to mail 3 days later before a tough test away to Cookham on the monday night.
The Rapids open up with a fixture against unknown quantity Berinsfield Res. Division 4 has been populated this season by various new teams, all of which will be trying to figure each other out from the off. This fixture sees the return of a second Reading YMCA team now known as the YMCA Rapids. Manager Paul O Boyle will be looking to make a big impact in his first venture in to football management.
