Reading YMCA Rapids will ply their trade in division 3 next season as the league has been restructured. AFC Newbury have moved up to the Hellenic and their reserves have been withdrawn. That coupled with Englefield and Wokingham withdrawing meant the league have scrapped division 4. It has been a controversial decision with some clubs claiming that all last seasons efforts were in vain, but also seen as much needed due to the amount of teams that are now in the Reading League. There are now an average of 13 teams in each division which gives teams to play more games for their money - surely a move that has to be welcomed.

YM centre half Adam Cassidy scooped the players player of the year award. 'Cass' has been in outstanding form this season and has been a rock at the back for YM. The ball playing defender has also taken over penalty taking duties and been rewarded with 4 goals in the 07/08 season.
