29th August Fixtures Released - YM Start with Mortimer Opener
Drew Vs Mortimer

The Reading Football League fixtures were released in the week and with no easy games in the Senior division as ever, YM will start with trips to Mortimer on Wednesday night following up with a trip to last years 2nd place team Highmoor Ibis. YM Boss, Mark Lemm, is looking to go 2 steps further this year and secure the clubs first ever senior division title but with a rejuvinated Mortimer and a Highmoor side packed with big names it will certainly be no walk in the park. Lemm was quoted saying 'This seasons senior division looks to be the strongest ever. Woodley may have stepped up but teams such as Frilsham will be more than happy to fill their boots. However we are also looking very strong and have assembled a squad of 47 for the coming season so i'm expecting to be challenging on all fronts' Lemm will be hoping YM get off to a better start than last season with just 2 points from the opening 4 games effectively costing them the title coome May.

YM's second string begin life in Division 2 looking for a third successive promotion and of course adding to last years cup triumph in what proved to be their 41st game of the season. Hurst Res will provie the first test on the opening day (5th Sept) and will be a stern test as this young side look to carry on building up the leagues. Rapids boss Paul O Boyle 'we have a young, lively squad and will once again be looking to finish as close to the top as p[ossible. Lessons will be learned from last years cup heroics and with a stronger pool of players to choose from this could well be the season my side will make people sit up and take notice'
