Reading YMCA took the 3 points to stay top of the league after Rabsons couldn't raise a side for the senior clash. It is rumoured that the club held a meeting to decide their fate on Saturday.

Reading YMCA Rapids came away with a point from the most dire of games played at South Reading Leisure Centre. On a bobbly pitch, gale force winds and 2 teams desperate for the points, the game decended in to a midfield slog with both defences enjoying a relatively steady afternoon.

Darren Cornell enjoyed another solid game in the middle of the park, tackling hard and breaking up play whilst Sidwell was doing his bets to link up play with the forwards. Luke Kasonde had a couple of half chances and Sidwell fizzed one just winde from 25 yards following good work from the lively YM front man. Wrightchoice were restricted to long range efforts and could not find the target using the wind as the teams went in level at the break.

The second period followed in a similar vein to the first with a largly unforgettable half taking place. Sidwell flashed another effort just wide from 25 yards whilst Morrison and Kasonde both had opportunities from set pieces. Dave Rolfe and Adam Cassidy were standing strong at the back and it was the former that showed his class with some expert clearances and calmness on the ball supplying the midfield. James Atkinson made a late appearance and his pace caused problems but the conditions then played theri part once again with the ball bobbling and wind cuasing havoc all over the pitch as the game finished goalless.

Boss Paul O Boyle said 'this was one of the most dire games I have seen today. Conditions made it impossible to play football and we could have all been out there all day without anyone scoring. A point a piece was a fair result'
